ADHD in the Workplace, Kingston University Research Project
This research project explores how workplace design can be improved to support individuals with ADHD. NICE guidelines recommend a holistic approach to managing ADHD across all life areas, including the workplace, to maximize benefits and reduce reliance on formal psychiatric and psychological treatments. Traditionally, this involves improving health and well-being, as well as providing coaching. Environmental modifications, including interior and building design specifications, are key innovations that enhance this holistic approach for people with ADHD. The project aims to better understand how to support neurodiverse individuals in the workplace, helping employers realize their full potential through improvements to the physical environment, people, and systems.
